Engineered Wooden Floors are easy to Maintain

Engineered Wooden Floors are easy to Maintain

Engineered wood floors are becoming super popular in luxury homes. Architects and designers love using them to create elegant living spaces. But someone think they are difficult to take care of. They worry about spending too much time and effort on maintenance, which sometimes keeps them from choosing this classy and practical flooring option.

Taking care of modern engineered wood floors is actually pretty easy! Just sweep or vacuum regularly, mop with a damp cloth once in a while, and clean up spills quickly. No need for complicated cleaning routines!

One cool thing about engineered wood floors is that they come already finished with a protective layer. This layer shields the wood from dirt, dust, and moisture, making the floors more resistant to stains, scratches, and warping. So, maintenance is simpler and hassle-free!

Here are some more tips to make sure your engineered wood floors stay stunning for years:

Do:

  • Provide doormats in the entrance area to keep dirt and grit off your floor.
  • Place runners and area rugs along high-traffic areas.
  • Move heavy appliances and furniture by sliding them on a think carpet placed face-down.
  • Use protector pads for all furniture legs.
  • Replace hard, narrow furniture rollers with wide rubber rollers.
  • Keep the relative humidity in your home between 45% and 65% and approx. 18 -24°Ctemperature.
  • Protect your floor from direct sunlight.
  • A mop, hair brown or vacuum cleaner should be used for maintenance cleaning. Dirt and sand act like sandpaper on the floor and should therefore be removed immediately.

Don’t:

  • Do not use detergent that has a water base.
  • Do not use any of the following or similar products on your floor; ammonia, fantastick, formula 409, dishwashing detergent, powdered all-purpose cleaner or other polishers.
  • Do not allow water to stain on your floor for any length of time.
  • Do not walk across your floor in spike heels or with any sharp protruding object.
  • Do not allow furniture to rest on the floor on small metal tips or hard domes.
